NPT provides a multidisciplinary platform for research addressing the mechanisms, diagnosis, prognosis, prevention, monitoring, and treatment of human diseases and relevant experimental models, as well as the development and evaluation of therapeutic strategies and biomedical interventions.

Rigorous and Transparent Peer Review
Manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review and are normally evaluated by at least two independent external reviewers with appropriate subject expertise.
Each manuscript is assessed according to its study design and scientific objectives, with consideration of methodological rigor, scientific validity, originality, relevance, transparency, and the appropriate clinical, biological, diagnostic, pharmacological, therapeutic, or mechanistic contribution.
Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to comply with the journal's policies concerning authorship, conflicts of interest, research ethics, data integrity, peer-review confidentiality, artificial intelligence, corrections, retractions, and other aspects of responsible scholarly publishing.

NPT is a fully open-access journal. All published articles are freely and immediately accessible to readers.
NPT follows a continuous publication model. Articles are published online individually after completion of peer review, editorial processing, and production, allowing accepted research to become available without waiting for the completion of a conventional issue.
